Frequently asked questions
Is the free plan really free?
Yes, and it does not expire. No card is asked for, and it includes a real CRM, invoicing with PDF export, time tracking, and every free tool. It is limited, not crippled.
What happens when I hit a plan's limit?
You get a heads up with the option to upgrade. Existing records are not deleted. You can add more when the monthly limit resets or you upgrade.
What counts as an AI action?
Each successful AI request counts once, including writing, job analysis, invoice parsing, and project-detail generation. All AI tools share the same monthly allowance, which resets at the start of each UTC calendar month. Your own provider key does not increase the allowance; failed model calls normally do not count.
What currency am I charged in?
US dollars, everywhere in the world. The price you see is the price that reaches your statement. If your card is issued outside the US your bank will convert it at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee, which is between you and your bank - we never mark the price up by region.
How does billing work, and can I cancel?
Paid plans renew automatically - monthly or yearly, whichever you pick - and you can cancel in one click from the billing page at any time. Cancelling stops the next charge and you keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for.
What happens to my data if I downgrade or cancel?
Your records stay. The account returns to free-tier limits, and paid-only tools such as recurring invoice presets stop being available. For an Agency workspace, the owner keeps the records while teammate access requires an active Agency plan.
Does FreelancerKit take a cut of my client work?
No. It is not a marketplace and never takes a commission. It is a toolkit you use alongside however you already find clients.
